Scripture: Exodus 14:19-31; Romans 14:1-12

Sermon: Paul’s letter to the Romans is filled with guidance on how to be in community with one another. In these verses his focus is on not judging others because ultimately, we are accountable to God. If this is true, what does this say about how we live with one another?

The Book of Hebrews is not high on the list of “must reads” for most Christians, but perhaps it should be! Our study will look at theological topics through the lens of community - in other words, we will learn about what the early church believed by understanding the story behind the belief. We may even learn a bit more about our own faith in the process!

Sermon: In the Exodus reading, the Israelites are wandering in the wilderness and are complaining because of hunger. God’s response is to send them quail and manna. God provides, but not always in the ways that we want. Can we still find joy in that?
